We are a small candy business in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and we are the controller of the information described below. Questions about anything on this page can go to info@zexlavi.sbs.

What we collect

1. Order requests

If you use the order request form, we receive the details you type into it: your name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, candy selection, quantity and message. You decide what to send us; the only required fields are the ones marked with an asterisk.

2. Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or errors. They are not used to profile visitors.

3. What we do not collect

We do not run analytics scripts, advertising pixels, social media trackers or third-party embeds on this site. There are no embedded maps, no third-party fonts and no comment systems. Payment details are never collected here, because nothing is sold or paid for on this website.

Cookies and local storage

Session cookie. When you open the contact form, our site sets one session cookie so that the form can be validated and your request can be submitted safely. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
Cookie notice preference. When you dismiss the cookie notice, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so that the notice does not appear on every page. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

We currently set no advertising or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this page before adding them and ask for consent where the law requires it. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings; the site will keep working.

Why we process it

We use the information from an order request for one thing: replying to your request and, if you decide to order, making and arranging that order. That is the information you asked us to act on. Server logs are processed to keep the website secure and available.

Who else sees it

Your message reaches us through our hosting provider and our email provider, who process it on our behalf as part of running the site and the mailbox. We do not sell information, we do not rent mailing lists, and we do not share order details with advertisers. We will disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect the site from abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep order requests, including a copy of the submission recorded by our website, for up to 12 months so that we can answer follow-up questions about an order, and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then rotated out.

Your choices

You can email info@zexlavi.sbs at any time to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. If you are in a region with additional rights — for example under the GDPR or a US state privacy law — we will honour those rights for you as well, including the right to object to processing. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

Children

This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to order requests is limited to the two people who run the business. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small — the most effective security measure available to a shop our size.

Links to other sites

Some pages link out, for example to a map service. Once you leave zexlavi.sbs, the privacy policy of the site you are visiting applies, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly rather than burying it.
