Blackcurrant first, then burnt sugar, then a cool herbal finish that takes a second to name.

Sweets with an unexpected twist you won't find in an ordinary supermarket. Every piece is cooked, pulled, folded and wrapped by hand in our kitchen on 3rd Avenue — in trays of forty or fifty, never forty thousand.

Six flavours in rotation
Every sheet of sugar is folded and pulled over marble before it is shaped. That is where the layers, the shine and the way it breaks come from. There is no machine in this kitchen doing that part.
We cook small so we can taste as we go. If a batch clouds over or the colour muddies, it doesn't leave the kitchen — it goes into the jar by the door that we all eat from.
We design what you taste before we decide what you see. A few of our favourite pieces are the least photogenic things we make, which is why we photograph them slowly and in good light.
This month's tray
Our list is short on purpose. Seven candies, some of them seasonal, all of them made in this kitchen from sugar, colour and whatever we have been arguing about that week.

Smoked honey and orange peel, then a warmth that stays in the back of your throat.

Lime zest and sea salt, then vanilla, then something that tastes like cold air.
Read the flavour notesThe guessing game
That question is the whole reason this shop exists. Most candy tells you everything before you open the wrapper: the colour, the name, the cartoon on the front. Ours asks you to slow down for ten seconds and pay attention.
So we leave the ingredient list off the website. Not because there is anything to hide — we will tell you exactly what is in a batch if you ask — but because knowing the answer in advance spoils the only trick we have. Taste it, guess, then write to us and we will tell you whether you were right.
Ordering
There is no basket and no checkout on this site. Candy is made in small runs, so we confirm every order by hand before anything is cooked.
Read the flavour notes and choose what sounds good, or ask for a mixed box and let us decide.
Use the order form with the quantities you have in mind. No payment is taken on this website.
Within two business days you get availability, the total price and the next pickup windows.
Pick it up at the kitchen by appointment, or we will quote shipping within Minnesota and beyond.
Notes from the kitchen
Storage, texture, tasting, weather — the practical parts of candy that nobody puts on a wrapper.
Hard candy is a glass, and glass is mostly managed by moisture. Five minutes of care here saves a box of candy there.
